Porcelain Throne
Cincinnati, OH - DAAP
The porcelain throne is a bathroom project designed for the historic district of OTR in Cincinnati, OH. Taking inspiration from the Tokyo toilet project series, the bathroom is a clear form of abstraction from the surroundings. This is meant to mark the importance of the building as a public amenity.
This building was also designed with the annual BLINK Cincinnati in mind. The design was intended to play interestingly with light through the top openings or light breaking through the exterior vents.
